Police investigating separate crashes to the north, east of London

A pair of crashes caused slowdowns for drivers to the north and east of London Thursday morning.

Emergency crews were called to a single-vehicle collision on Hamilton Road between Harris Road and Wheeler Avenue shortly after 4 a.m. Injuries were minor, but the road had to be closed as the crash downed power lines in the area.

Hydro One crews worked throughout the morning commute to replace the damaged wires.

Middlesex OPP said the road closure would be "lengthy" and advised drivers to find alternate routes.

The second crash came shortly after 7 a.m. when a vehicle rolled on Adelaide Street North between Nine Mile and Ten Mile roads in Middlesex Centre. Police said the extent of any injuries was unknown.

Police urged drivers around that collision to slow down.

The cause of both collisions remains under investigation.
