Pedestrian hit by vehicle in St. Thomas

A pedestrian suffered minor injuries after they were struck by a vehicle in St. Thomas earlier this week.

According to St. Thomas police, officers were called to the area of Ross Street and Forest Avenue just after noon on Monday for reports of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.

When police arrived, they learned the pedestrian was searching for their phone when they were hit by the vehicle. Paramedics arrived and the victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police have not pressed any charges in the incident and officers continue to investigate.
