Voyeurism charge laid after hidden camera found in London Airbnb

A London man is facing a voyeurism charge after a secret camera was found in an Airbnb in the northwest-end of the city last month.

London police were called to investigate on July 15 after a couple staying at the short-term rental on Blackacres Boulevard found the recording device hidden in a bedroom of the home.

Two weeks later, police searching the home allegedly located video evidence of voyeurism. Two unidentified victims were captured in the video evidence found, police said.

Abinash Samal, 41, of London was arrested on Monday in connection with the investigation. He has been charged with one count of voyeurism and is scheduled to appear in court in relation to the charge on October 5.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
