London police have arrested a second suspect sought in connection to a downtown shooting last month.
At around 1:30 a.m. on August 17, police responded to a shooting in the parking lot behind the Ceeps at Richmond and Mill Streets. A man was found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and was taken to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators determined there had been an altercation between two groups of people before the shooting and that the man who was shot had been robbed of personal property.
Jerome Walcott, 30, of London was charged two weeks ago with robbery from a person with violence. A second suspect was identified, and London police confirmed he was located on Friday.
The second accused, 31-year-old Romone Barrington Bowen of Brampton, is charged with attempted murder with a firearm, possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, possession of a restricted firearm without a licence, and three counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
He remains in custody with a scheduled appearance in a London courtroom on Friday.
The investigation remains ongoing.
