London woman faces charges following fight involving a knife

A London woman was arrested after allegedly brandishing a knife in a convenience store.

According to police, at approximately 12:30 a.m. Thursday, a 28-year-old woman went into a convenience store on Rectory Street near Hamilton Road. She then reportedly got into an argument with a store employee and produced a knife.

The woman was arrested outside the store and during a search of her, a spring-assisted folding knife was found, police said.

No injuries were reported.

The woman faces charges of possession of a weapon and possession of a restricted weapon.

She is scheduled to appear in court on October 19.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
