Tillsonburg traffic stop nets police drugs, knife

Provincial police ended up seizing a knife, drugs , and cash after stopping a vehicle for suspected impaired driving in Tillsonburg.

Oxford OPP pulled the vehicle over in the town on Thursday morning.

The driver was arrested for driving while impaired by drugs.

A passenger in the vehicle was also taken into custody after officers found Illicit drugs, cash, and a knife.

The vehicle has been impounded for seven days.

The incident came just hours after OPP arrested another person in Tillsonburg who allegedly had break-in tools, drugs, and a gun. That individual was charged with being in possession of break-in tools and drugs and other trafficking and weapons offences.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
