Random stabbing leaves man with life-threatening injuries

An attempted murder charge has been laid in a weekend stabbing that has left a man fighting for life in hospital.

The man was in a parking lot on Rectory Street north of Hamilton Road around 2 p.m. on Sunday when another man came up from behind and stabbed him.

The man who was stabbed was able to go to a nearby convenience store for help. He was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.

London police arrested a suspect a short distance away. A knife and an undisclosed quantity of drugs were seized.

Police said the suspect was not known to the victim.

Jeffrey Alan Brown, 36, of London is charged with attempted murder and possession of drugs. He is scheduled to appear in London court on Monday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
