Section of Gore Road to be closed starting Monday

There will be a new traffic issue for drivers in east London to contend with this week.

Starting Monday, Gore Road between Clarke Road and Veterans Memorial Parkway will be closed for three days. The closure is to allow for the facilitation of private site services for a nearby Gore Road property.

While the work is taking place, traffic will be detoured using Clarke Road, Trafalgar Street, Commissioners Road East, Hamilton Road, and Veterans Memorial Parkway. There will also be some sidewalk restrictions. Pedestrians are encouraged to use nearby streets to get where they are going.

The roadway should be reopened sometime on Thursday.
