Two charged in $1.7M pot bust

Two people are facing charges after provincial police in Norfolk County seized $1.7 million worth of illict pot plants.

Officers with the OPP's Haldimand/Norfolk Street Crime Unit searched a property on 8th Concession Road in Langton on October 5.

Police say they seized 2,100 marijuana plants.

A 43-year-old man from North York and a 49-year-old man from Markham are each charged with illicit cannabis production.

They are to appear in court in Simcoe at a later date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
