Want to park overnight on a city street?
Starting Wednesday, drivers will once again be required to obtain a special pass in order to do so.
Between November 1 and April 30, the City of London's overnight street parking ban is in effect. The bylaw prohibits vehicles from being left on the street between the hours of 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. During that time, special passes can be requested, weather permitting, to park on-street.
Londoners and visitors to the city can obtain a maximum of 15 free passes per license plate. Passes are issued no more than 48 hours in advance.
"If a snow event is forecast, a message will be posted on the overnight parking registry and no on-street parking will be allowed," according to the city's website.
Vehicles without a valid parking pass could be ticketed.
Commercial vehicles, trailers, recreational vehicles or oversized vehicles are not eligible for an overnight parking pass.
