Separate Halloween assaults in St. Thomas

A pair of unrelated Halloween assaults in St. Thomas have left three London teens facing charges and a suspect being sought.

St. Thomas police were called about a person with a head wound at a downtown address around 6 a.m. on Tuesday. When officers arrived paramedics were treating the victim who was ultimately taken to hospital for additional care.

Investigators determined a disturbance at the address had led to the victim being assaulted with an unknown weapon.

Police are still looking for a suspect in the incident.

Then just before 8:30 p.m. the same day, police were called to a disturbance at a downtown convenience store.

According to police, three teens were being "rowdy" inside the store and were caught on camera stealing various items. The trio left the store, but were followed by the store clerk, who was then assaulted and hit with bear spray.

A 15-year-old Londoner was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon.

Another 15-year-old and a 14-year-old, also from London, have been charged by way of warrant with assault with a weapon.

Both investigations are ongoing.
