One hurt, four charged after violent neighbour dispute

Four people are accused of assaulting another person during a heated dispute between neighbours in St. Thomas.

Police were called to the home in the city's west end around 1 p.m. on Monday.

Officers determined a dispute between neighbours escalated and turned physical with one person being attacked by the others involved. That person suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics.

Two people were arrested on site, while two others later turned themselves in at St. Thomas police headquarters.

A 28-year-old, a 31-year-old, a 32-year-old, and a 55-year-old, all from St. Thomas, have been charged with assault. The four have since been released from custody with a future court date.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
