St. Thomas man wanted after woman pepper sprayed

A warrant is being sought for a 28-year-old man wanted for pepper spraying a woman at her home late last week.

St. Thomas police were called to the woman's home in the north-end of the city on Friday. She reported that a day earlier several people had shown up to her place and demanded that she return property to them.

During the confrontation, a man who was with the group allegedly sprayed pepper spray into the woman's eyes.

The St. Thomas man, whose name has not been released, is being charged with assault with a weapon, police said.

He has not yet been arrested.
