Charges laid in hit-and-run investigation

London police say charges have been laid in connection to a hit-and-run investigation after two women were struck by a vehicle in the city's north end Friday evening.

Police were called at around 9:15 p.m. about a collision that happened earlier in the evening at the intersection of Sarnia Road and Wonderland Road North.

Two women suffered minor injuries. Police said at this time, there is nothing to suggest the collision was hate-motivated.

Investigators located a suspect and he was charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident and failing to yield to pedestrians in the roadway.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call London police at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent online anonymously to London Middlesex Crime Stoppers.
