St. Thomas police investigate break and enter

A break and enter and theft at a downtown business is being investigated by St. Thomas police.

On Saturday morning, a passerby noticed damage to the business and called police.

When officers attended the scene they found that a glass door from the business had been smashed and the suspect made it into the store.

Police said that a cash float was taken from the till.

Officers obtained video from a nearby business and a man was seen breaking the glass and going into the store.

The matter is still under investigation.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
