63-year-old driver killed in crash near Glencoe

A two-vehicle crash southwest of London has claimed the life of a 63-year-old from southwest Middlesex.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Thames Road and Parkhouse Drive where an SUV and a pickup truck collided just after 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

The SUV driver suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead, Middlesex OPP said.

The pickup driver was not hurt.

No names have been released.

The crash kept the intersection closed for several hours while the OPP traffic incident management and enforcement team was on scene.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
