London fire crews responded to a house fire in the Old East Village on Saturday.
The blaze occurred on Lorne Avenue between English and Ontario Streets.
Officials said that the fire was under control just before 3:30 a.m. Firefighters were still overhauling the residence over two hours later.
No residents were injured in the fire, though the fire department initially reported that a number of dogs were unaccounted for.
Two firefighters sustained minor injuries. One was assessed at the scene for a dog bite while another suffered shoulder strain.
Damage to the home is considered extensive, though a dollar value has yet to be determined.
