Fatal collision in Norfolk County

Indian Line was closed by Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) between Cemetery Road and Concession 2 following a collision.

Emergency crews responded to the crash just after 10:30 p.m. on Friday.

According to police, a male pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and suffered serious, life-threatening injuries. The man was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The name of the deceased person is not being released pending notification to the next of kin.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene following the incident and did not suffer any injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
