One person dies after fatal crash in Brant County

One person has died after a single-vehicle crash in Brant County early Sunday.

Provincial police said a vehicle left a roadway, hit hydro pole and rolled over on Paris Road.

One person was pronounced dead on the scene but, the three other occupants were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Paris Road was closed for around 11 hours while investigators and emergency crews were on the scene.

The name of the deceased is be withheld as police notify next of kin.

OPP said officers will continue to investigate.

Police are asking anyone who lives on Paris Road between Dundas Street and Oak Park Road and has home surveillance or dash cam footage and may have been in the area between 1:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. to contact police at 1-888-310-1122 with any information.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
