Two pedestrians struck, police searching for driver

St. Thomas police are looking for the driver and vehicle that hit two pedestrians on Sunday.

Police responded to a collision on Talbot Street, between First Avenue and Burwell Road, just before 6 p.m.

Witnesses of the crash reported that a dark grey Jeep turned westbound onto Talbot St. when it struck two women on an electric scooter using the crosswalk.

The driver failed to stay at the scene after hitting the women. The Jeep was last seen turning north onto First Ave.

The women were sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
