Five charged in gun, drug bust

London police say five people face charges after officers seized a loaded gun and thousands of dollars with of cocaine and pills.

Officers raided three homes around 4 a.m. Friday and seized a loaded Glock pistol with 14 rounds of ammunition in the magazine, 37 TEC pills, 527 grams of suspected cocaine, seven cell phones, two scales, one hydraulic press, and a quantity of cash.

Police say the total value of the drugs is $52,885.

Five Londoners, aged 36, 35, 33, 32, and 20, are charged with possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The 20-year-old also faces weapons charges.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
