Man, two teens charged after stolen vehicle crash

Two 15-year-olds are among three people facing charges after a vehicle stolen in Essex County crashed north of Aylmer.

Elgin OPP were called to the single-vehicle crash on Wilson Line east of Imperial Road in Malahide Township just after 1 p.m. on Tuesday. The lone vehicle had left the roadway and crashed into the ditch.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators determined the vehicle had previously been reported stolen to Essex OPP and arrested the three people who were inside.

A 21-year-old Tecumseh man, as well as two 15-year-olds from Windsor and Leamington, have been charged with possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000. The man is scheduled to appear in St. Thomas court in relation to the charge on February 20. The teens will make their court appearance the following day.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
