Pedestrian seriously injured in east London crash

London police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the city's east end.

The collision happened at around 5:50 p.m. on Thursday in the area Hamilton Road and St. Julien Street.

Police said the pedestrian was transported to hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

The driver, who was uninjured, remained on scene.

Hamilton Road between St. Julien Street and Delaware Street has since reopened to traffic.

The investigation is ongoing.
