Teen charged after bomb threat

A young teen is facing charges after a business had to be evacuated due to a bomb threat.

According to London police, a 911 call was made from a business near Wonderland and Viscount roads around 11:20 a.m. on Thursday. An employee said they had received a bomb threat.

Police responded and the business was evacuated and searched. No bomb was found.

"Police learned two previous threats towards the business had been made on January 12 and January 17, 2024," police said.

An investigation by the London Police Service Cyber Crime Unit and the Digital Forensic Unit led to the arrest of a 14-year-old boy. His name cannot be released due to his age.

The boy is charged with public mischief, uttering threats, and mischief over $5,000.

He is to appear in court in February.
