Man and woman charged in east London break-in

Charges have been laid against a man and woman after a weekend break-in at an east London business.

London police were called by the owner of the business in the area of Dundas and Edmonton streets around 12:35 a.m. on Sunday. Officers were provided with the description of two people who had reportedly broken inside.

With the help of the police canine unit, a man and woman were arrested inside the building.

"The male suspect was transported to hospital by police with minor injuries and later released," police said.

A 59-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man have been charged with break and enter and theft. The man faces additional charges of resisting arrest and breach of probation. He was scheduled to appear in London court on Monday.

The 59-year-old is set to appear in London court in relation to the charges on February 27.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
