Police searching for suspects in break-in near Ingersoll

Provincial police are hoping the public can help them identify suspects in an early morning break-in south of Ingersoll.

Unknown individuals went to a property on Culloden Line near Mount Elgin Road around 6 a.m. on Wednesday and broke into the home. Once inside, the thieves stole an estimated $10,000 worth of tools, clothes, and decor, Oxford OPP said.

The suspects then left in a dark coloured Chevy Equinox, 2018 model or newer.

While there is currently no description of the suspects, police are hoping anyone who was in the area at the time or who has security cameras on their property can assist investigators.

Anyone with information can call police at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

"Police also want to take this time to remind the public to report suspicious activity immediately," police said. "Remember to lock doors to vehicles, houses, garages, and sheds. Do not leave keys with vehicles. Consider installing security features, such as increased lighting, cameras, and/or alarms."
