Search warrant yields drugs, stolen vehicles in Brant County

Brant County OPP say one person is facing charges after officers seized drugs and two stolen vehicles.

Police raided a home on Madeline Road in Brant County on Thursday and seized two stolen vehicles, cocaine, psilocybin or “magic mushrooms," and a large quantity of Canadian cash.

Officers recovered a stolen 2022 Chevrolet Corvette and a 2021 Honda CRV, with a value estimated at $163,000.

Police say the total value of the seizure is over $180,000.

A 36-year-old man from Brant County is charged with possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

The accused was arrested, charged, and later released from custody with a future court date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
