Foggy conditions persist across London region

Thick fog has once again moved into the London region prompting an advisory from Environment Canada.

The national weather agency issued a fog advisory for London, eastern Middlesex County, Oxford County, and Norfolk County on Saturday night. After briefly lifting earlier in the day, dense fog patches developed again in the evening and are expected to remain until Sunday morning.

The foggy conditions could significantly and suddenly reduce visibility on the roads to near zero, Environment Canada said.

Drivers are advised to ensure their vehicle's lighting system is switched on, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead, and prepare to stop.

The fog should dissipate Sunday morning as a system packing rain that will change over to a rain-snow mix moves into the region.
