OPP recover stolen vehicle in Norwich

A 32-year-old Norfolk man faces several charges after provincial police recovered a stolen vehicle from a property in Norwich Township.

Police said they received a report about a vehicle stuck in the mud on a property on Highway 53 in Norwich Township at around 3:30 p.m. on February 23.

Officers arrived on scene and confirmed the vehicle had been stolen.

The suspect, who had tried to leave the scene on foot, was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property, mischief, obstructing police, and failing to comply with a probation order.

The accused has been remanded into custody and is set to appear in court on March 4.
