High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

The assault and robbery of a youth in Woodstock has left three teens facing charges.Woodstock police were called about a fight in the area of Cromwell Street and Berwick Street around 9:50 a.m. on Thursday. Investigators determined three youths had attacked another youth.No injuries were reported.A 17-year-old from Thamesford and a 16-year-old and 15-year-old from Woodstock were arrested. The 17-year-old is charged with robbery with violence while the other two teens are charged with assault.Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call them at 519-537-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
