Truck crashes into Woodstock post office, injuring pedestrian

A pedestrian was seriously hurt when a pickup truck crashed into the front of a post office in Woodstock.

Emergency crews were called to the Canada Post outlet located in a strip mall at 433 Norwich Ave. near Montclair Drive around 1:40 p.m. on Monday. A dark blue pickup truck had jumped the curb and slammed through the glass front entrance of the building.

A pedestrian suffered serious, non-life threatening injuries in the collision and had to be taken to hospital for treatment.

The investigation is ongoing, police said in a statement released on Tuesday.
