Adult, three-year-old hurt in crash south of Muncey

A single-vehicle crash south of Muncey sent two people, including a three-year-old child, to hospital.

Elgin OPP, firefighters with the Dutton-Dunwich Fire Department, and paramedics were called to the collision on Pioneer Line near Stride Road in Dutton-Dunwich shortly before 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

The 64-year-old driver suffered serious, non-life threatening injuries and a 3 -year-old passenger had minor injuries. Both were taken to hospital.

Ornge Air Ambulance was also on scene, but it is unclear whether they were needed for patient transport.

The crash temporarily shut down Pioneer Line between Iona and Stride roads. The road was reopened around 11 p.m.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, police said.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
