One person arrested after weapons incident in Tillsonburg

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say one person is in custody following a weapons-related incident in Tillsonburg on Friday.

Officers from the Oxford detachment responded to a weapons call at around 1:30 p.m. on Morning Glory Drive.

One person has been arrested. Police say there is no threat to public safety.

As a precaution, nearby South Ridge Public School was placed in hold-and-secure. That has been lifted.

Police will canvass the neighbourhood looking for witnesses and video footage.

Anyone with information should call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
