Woman with suspected gun seen pounding on hotel doors

A London woman is facing charges after a person with what was believed to be a gun was seen banging on doors at a south-end hotel.

A person staying at the lodging on Wellington Road near Wilkins Street was awoken by a commotion outside of their room shortly after 11 p.m. last Friday. When they got up to investigate they found a woman with a suspected gun, who was pounding on doors to the hotel. London police were called and were provided with a description of the woman and the vehicle she reportedly got into.

Officers arrived to find the vehicle still in the parking lot with a woman inside.

A BB-style pellet handgun was found on the driver's seat of the vehicle, police said.

A 33-year-old woman was arrested without incident. She is charged with one count of possession of a weapon and is scheduled to appear in court on June 11.
