No injuries after fire at vacant building

The London Fire Department responded to small fire at a vacant building in Old East Village on Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters and search and rescue crews responded to the former McCormick's building at 1156 Dundas Street around 4 p.m.

The fire was quickly extinguished and two people were rescued.

According to a social media post, it was originally reported that five people were inside the building. However, the remaining three were not located during the search.

"The three other reported individuals inside could not be confirmed as being inside," fire officials said in a post to social media.

No injuries were reported during the fire.
