London man charged in east-end business break-in

Charges have been laid against a London man after an east-end business owner spotted an intruder over video surveillance.

The owner of the business near Dundas and Hale streets received a notification that someone was inside the building around 3:10 a.m. on Thursday. The owner called 911 after viewing real-time video surveillance of the intruder.

London police officers arrived at the building to find a glass door damaged. They arrested a suspect inside the business.

No injuries were reported.

A 24-year-old London man is charged with one count of break and enter with intent. He is scheduled to appear in court in relation to the charge on June 18.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
