One of two students assaulted in unrelated incidents at two different St. Thomas high schools required medical treatment.

The principal of one of the high schools called St. Thomas police on Tuesday to report that a student had been attacked in class. The student was hurt in the ordeal and needed medical attention.

Later that same day, the parent of a student from another high school in the city called police to report their child had been assaulted on school grounds. No injuries were reported in the second incident.

Police are investigating both assaults. They did not release the names of the two schools where the incidents allegedly happened.
