Knights marking OHL Championship win with fan celebration

Hockey fans can celebrate the London Knights Ontario Hockey League (OHL) championship win with the team on Saturday.

The Knights are hosting a special celebration event at Budweiser Gardens from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Fans will be able to mark the win with the players, see team awards and the J. Ross Robertson Cup in person. For the event, concession stands will also be offering happy hour prices.

The celebration event is free to attend. Fans are asked to enter through Gate 1.

The Knights completed their sweep of the Oshawa Generals to take the OHL title on Wednesday night. It is their fifth OHL championship win in franchise history. The team now has a week of rest before Memorial Cup play begins. The tournament gets underway at the Dow Event Center in Saginaw, Michigan on May 24. The Knights play their first game on Saturday, May 25 against the Drummondville Voltigeurs, champions of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
