Police watchdog investigating man's injury after arrest in London

The Special Investigations Unit is investigating after a man sustained serious injuries in connection to a traffic investigation in London.

London police said officers stopped a vehicle early Sunday morning in the south end of the city.

The driver of the vehicle allegedly ran away from police and was arrested a short distance away.

Police said the man resisted officers.

After the arrest it was found that the man sustained, non life-threatening injury.

A London Police Service officer also received a minor injury.

The suspect has since been released from the hospital and remains in custody.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
