UPDATE: Missing woman located

Sarnia police say 30-year-old Kyra Shipley has been found safe.

A missing person report said Shipley was last seen by her family in the Sarnia area in September 2023 and there had been no contact with her since then.

Police believed she could have been in the London area.

An update was posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, on May 27 to advise that she was safely located.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
