Update: Severe thunderstorm watch ended for London, Middlesex and Elgin counties

Environment Canada has lifted a severe thunderstorm watch for the London region.

The weather agency issued the advisory on Sunday, as a line of thunderstorms moved through the area.

The advisory warned of strong wind gusts getting as high as 90 kilometres per hour, nickel to toonie size hail and a risk of a tornado.

At one point, Environment Canada issued a tornado warning for Lake Erie, but for any areas on land.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
