Man seriously hurt in Old East Village stabbing

One person was taken to hospital after a stabbing in London's Old East Village Tuesday night.

Emergency crews were called to Queens Avenue near Adelaide Street North around 8 p.m. When they arrived on scene they found a man suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to hospital for treatment of serious, non-life threatening injuries.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the man remained in hospital, London police said.

A suspect has yet to be arrested in connection with the violent incident.

Police said the investigation is in its early stages. They are asking anyone who witnessed the stabbing to come forward.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
