Pedestrian seriously hurt in hit-and-run at busy London intersection

London police are searching for the driver of a white van that took off after hitting a pedestrian in the northwest-end of the city.

Emergency crews were called to the collision at the intersection of Oxford Street West and Wonderland Road North around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. As of late Monday morning, he remained in hospital, police said.

The intersection was closed for several hours while police were on scene. It was reopened overnight.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who was in the area between 7:20 p.m. and 7:40 p.m. and has dash-cam or security footage of the incident to call them at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
