Spits Defeat Knights In Shootout Battle

The Windsor Spitfires were able to pull out a 5-4 win against the London Knights Sunday afternoon in the seventh round of a shootout.

Right wing Markus Soberg scored the winning goal, ending the Spits losing streak.

The London Knights were able to tie the game at 4-4 with only four minutes left in the third period. No goals were scored during the five minutes of overtime.

The Spits take on the Plymouth Whalers Tuesday at 2pm in Michigan.

The Knights face off against the Sting New Years Eve at 1:05pm in Sarnia.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
