Majors fall 5-4 to Red Sox

Despite a rally late in the game, the London Majors fell 5-4 to the Brantford Red Sox Wednesday night.

London was down 5-0 going into the eighth inning, but scored four before Brantford's Trevor Bayless got the last out of the the inning

For London, Keith Kandel singled, doubled and had an RBI. RJ Fuhr and Kyle Gormandy each drove in a run and scored once, and LeJon Baker added three hits and a run.

Oscar Perez took the loss, allowing five runs on seven hits in just over seven innings, walking eight and striking out three.

The Majors now sit a half game back of the first-place Kitchener Panthers.

London's next game will be at home against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday at 7:35 pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
