The London Knights have traded goaltender Emanuel Vella to the Owen Sound Attack in exchange for a seventh round draft pick in 2018.
A condition of the trade is once Vella appears in 12 or more games, the pick will turn into a fourth round draft pick in 2018.
The 18-year-old Toronto native was a third round pick by the Knights in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection, and has appeared in five games with London this season.
“Emanuel has tremendous upside and we feel he will fit into our organization very well," says Attack General Manager Dale DeGray. “We’d like to welcome both he and his family into our organization.”
Vella will join the Attack on Friday when they take on the Frontenacs in Kitchener.
