Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – February 23, 2017

The London Nationals doubled the Lambton Shores Predators 4-2 on Thursday, to mark their fourth straight win.

Brandon Glover led London with two goals, while Richard Whittaker and Harlen VanWynsberghe each scored once.

The Nationals will face off against the Maroons in Chatham on Sunday at 7pm.

As well, the Leamington Flyers fell 4-1 to the St. Thomas Stars.

Cale Phibbs scored Leamington's only goal of the game.

The Flyers will take on the Predators next on Saturday. The puck drops in Lambton Shores at 7:30pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
