Royce White scored 26 points, but the London Lightning fell to the Island Storm in Charlottetown Saturday afternoon 105-101.
With the loss, the Lightning's nine-game winning streak ended with a thud on the parquet floor. The Lightning still have an easy first-place lead in the NBL Central Division and a 27-5 record.
The Storm took an early lead in the contest and held a nine-point lead over London after one quarter. The Lightning trailed 55-51 at halftime following a 10-0 run in the second quarter. The Storm pulled ahead again in the third quarter and the Lightning tried to mount a comeback in the fourth before the horn blew.
Garrett Williamson added to the Lightning offence with a 13-point effort, and he lead London in rebounds with eight. Joel Friesen put in 11 points.
Akeem Ellis was the scoring leader for the Storm with 23 points. Terry Thomas and Akeem Wright each sank 15 points. The Storm had a 46.8% field-goal rate compared to London's 39.6%
The Lightning will try to start another winning streak Sunday afternoon when they head into Moncton to take on the Miracles.
