Jr. Hockey Wrap-Up – February 14, 2018

The London Nationals fell 3-2 in double overtime to the LaSalle Vipers in their sixth straight loss on Wednesday.

Abdul Abouzeeni scored the game-winner in the second overtime period, while Hayden Johnston and Jack Bowler both scored during regular play.

Mitchell Webb and Kyle Dawson scored the two goals for London.

The Vipers head to Leamington on Thursday to take on the Flyers at 7:10pm. And then on Saturday, the Nationals are in Strathroy to battle the Rockets at 7:30pm.

And in Junior C playoff action, the Amherstburg Admirals shutout the Mooretown Flags 4-0 to take a 3-1 series lead in the quarterfinals.

Bryce McGregor, Brett Smith, Cory Burns and Josh Talerico all scored once for the Admirals.

The two teams face off for Game 5 on Thursday in Amherstburg. The puck drops at 7pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
