Jr. hockey wrap-up – November 15, 2018

The Leamington Flyers topped the London Nationals 2-1 in GOJHL action on Thursday.

Johnny Ulicny and Rory DiNiro scored one goal each for Leamington.

James Turner scored the sole goal for London.

The Flyers are in Komoka next on Saturday to take on the Kings at 7:15 p.m. And on Sunday, the Nationals will head to St. Thomas to battle the Stars at 7:30 p.m.

And in the Junior C, the Essex 73's doubled the Petrolia Flyers 6-3.

Josh Pope-Ferguson and Michael Ruttinger led Essex with two goals each, while Matt Zelko and Sylvano Valente each scored once.

The 73's return home on Tuesday to face off against the Dresden Kings at 7 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
